House rules
We want you to feel relaxed and at home during your stay. These simple rules help us protect the apartments and maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the Port Royale community for everyone.
1. Respect for the Community
Port Royale is a quiet residential complex with both permanent residents and holiday guests. Please respect neighbours and keep noise levels low at all times, especially during evenings and nighttime hours.
Not permitted
- Parties or events
- Loud music
- Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour
- Disturbing neighbours in shared areas, hallways, balconies, or around the pool
Failure to respect community rules may result in complaints from community management and may lead to termination of the stay without refund.
2. Registered Guests & Occupancy
Only guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay overnight in the apartment.
Unregistered overnight visitors are not allowed unless agreed in advance.
Maximum occupancy limits must always be respected.
3. Smoking Policy
Smoking inside the apartment is strictly prohibited. Smoking is only permitted on balconies or terraces with doors and windows kept closed to prevent smoke from entering the apartment.
Please dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Additional cleaning costs caused by smoke odours or cigarette damage may be charged to guests.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
Standard Times
- Check-in: from 15:00
- Check-out: by 11:00
Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on availability but must always be agreed in advance.
Unauthorised late check-outs may result in additional charges if they impact cleaning schedules or incoming guests.
5. Keys & Apartment Access
Guests are responsible for keeping apartment keys safe during their stay.
Please do not leave keys inserted in the inside door lock, as this may prevent external or emergency access in some apartments.
Lost Keys & Lockouts
Charges may apply for:
- lost keys
- forgotten keys
- lockouts requiring assistance
If emergency access is required outside normal business hours, assistance may depend on availability. In rare cases, a locksmith may need to be called at the guest’s expense.
6. Pool & Shared Community Areas
Guests must respect all Port Royale community rules regarding:
- swimming pool use
- opening hours
- common areas
- cleanliness and noise levels
Children must be supervised appropriately at all times in pool and shared areas.
7. Cleanliness & Waste Disposal
Please keep the apartment reasonably clean and tidy during your stay.
Waste Disposal
- Household rubbish should be disposed of regularly using the designated waste disposal areas within the complex.
- Food waste should not be left inside the apartment for extended periods.
Due to Tenerife’s warm climate, leaving food uncovered or rubbish inside may attract ants or insects. Guests are kindly asked to help keep the apartment clean to avoid this.
8. Energy & Air Conditioning
Please use electricity and water responsibly.
When leaving the apartment, switch off:
- fans
- lights
- unnecessary electrical appliances
9. Damage & Maintenance
Guests are asked to report any damage, breakages, or maintenance issues as soon as possible so problems can be resolved quickly.
Guests may be held responsible for damage caused through negligence, misuse, or failure to follow the house rules.
10. Pets
Pets are only permitted with prior approval before arrival.
Approved pets must not:
- be left unattended for long periods
- disturb neighbours
- damage furniture or apartment contents
Additional cleaning or damage charges may apply if necessary.
11. Safety & Security
For your safety and the security of the apartment:
- always lock doors and windows when leaving
- never give keys or access codes to unauthorised persons
- report security concerns immediately
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.
